Rickisha O'Neal aka Truist grew up in different foster homes all over Los Angeles, California.

Through it all she found her true home through music.

 

In High School, she was listening to Jay-z, Common, Talib Kweli, along with others. This was the inspiration sparked to tell her story through hip hop. The first time recording words to a beat was in 2010 while serving the United States Navy in her shipmates closet. After leaving the service she started her creative Journey at The Los Angeles Film and Recording School 2014. After earning 2 Associates Degrees in Audio Engineering and Music Production, she recorded her first song to Drake's Pound Cake Remix in 2015. Truist is actively involved in Paint22 Inc as the Creative Writer.

Truist Plans to take over the Hip Hop scene with "a new flavor in your ear" through her brand, music and clothing. Dropping her latest Single and video, Tyler Herro Remix on December 21st 2020. Truist dropped her first EP Album "Therapy in Session" March 6, 2022 as Engineer and Songwriter!
